Question '07 Without Sat. but want Satellite Radio

Hey, so i just got my 2007 G but, its doesn't have a Sat. button. Nor does the car have navigation. I don't mind spending the money to get factory satellite radio. I called my local Infiniti dealer and they said there is no kit they sell? I love how clean the dash looks in the G and don't want to put a aftermarket XM/ Sirius radio receiver on the dash. Does anybody know of a kit that's out there?
Somebody on eBay is selling the entire Sat. / Navigation system out of a wreaked '07. Is all the plug In's there?

Anybody done a swap with a G without no Sat. / Navigation to with one?

THANKS FOR THE HELP.

welcome to the forum! first and foremost, the search button is your friend! you'll find answers to your questions and many others here on the forum. there are also some great DIYs when it comes time to do maintenance.

as for the satellite radio i don't personally know anyone who has added this but i bet there is a thread around here somewhere:

http://www.g35parts.com/G37-Sedan-Sa...9u9-07seda.htm

as for the navi, it cannot be added in the factory form. or i should say it's a difficult and expensive undertaking. your best bet is a windshield mounted garmin or a GVN-53 garmin brain that you can run the video into the aux inputs for your stereo. otherwise you can do an aftermarket carputer:

cheers!

Thanks for the reply, i don't care about the navigation only the Sat. radio. Your link for the XM kit looks like its the kit if your radio is Sat. ready. Mine is not that's why i was asking if anybody did a swap with the factory stuff so they can get satellite radio.

Remmy's right, search is your friend. When it doesn't work, use Google (try "site:g35driver.com your search keywords").

Your car actually is Sat ready, they all are. Whether or not the option was purchased. The harness is in the trunk.

Thanks for the help guys, i tried searching but i prob could of worded it different. This is my first G35 but deff. not my first Infiniti, have had 4 G20's (still have one) and briefly owned a J30.

jcrayamsterdam I'm still able to install the factory Xm kit even if i don't have the "Sat." button? If so when running it through the factory radio what button would i be using? The AUX ???

I deff. appreciate all the input and direction you pointing me to.

The Radio button doubles, or I guess triples, as a toggle for AM, FM and Sat. I believe the Sat button is only present when you get the Navi (which also gives you the Bluetooth and other premium electronics).

Infiniti sold Sat radio as an independent option for those not wishing to get Navi and so provided dealers with an installable option.

The kit that Remmy pointed you to used to post instructions for the install on the site. I think I had a TSB from InfinitiHelp.com but I've done a clean up since and deleted any ones I didn't think I'd need.

I just bought my 2007 G in December and re-upped my XM sub last week. I have to do this upgrade as well and am planning it for mid to late summer. Right now I've got cables strung throughout the cabin for the after market Delphi I'm using, looks awful.

I installed (well, paid guy to do it) Sirius the week I first bought the car (a base G) and confirm that the Radio button toggles between AM/FM and SAT. You can get a Nissan factory XM or Sirius kit (see above links) and it will install and work perfectly.
