Question what does (bump) mean?

what does bump mean i tried the search bar but couldnt find an aswer?

if you have lets say a forsale thread. and its been a day or 2 since anyone has viewd/posted in the thread and it is falling pretty low on the thread page. you can go into the thread and "bump" it so that it will show up in the recent post and also it will move the thread up to the top of the page. aka "bump up my post"

Yeah you will see it alot in the vendor section as all the vendors (including myself) bring thier threads to the top of each section so it can get noticed.

Sad to say but I know Im a "bump" *****

This thread is just one more example why DRIVER needs their own dictionary for the slang we use here. That way when a member needs to SEARCH they'll know what terminology to use when looking for the answer. Once again the word "Debadge" if you don't use this word members will never find out how to remove letters/emblems from their trunk lid or they'll make a new thread asking....we all love that. In '05 one of our members put out a list of what abbreviations meant like OMG or WTF and many, many more. I copied it myself and still have it some where....
