For me, compliments from other fellow enthusiasts count way more than any stranger off the street. Coincidentally, I've been getting a lot of props from the local guys around the forum w/ some of the recent changes on my car. Ran into couple more guys from the forum today at the OC Infiniti.

I love it when I catch people staring at my car. They're so into looking at the car that they don't even notice me looking at them. HAHA! And my G is damn near stock.

Daily, G's are very rare in my area. Theres only one other and its a '04 OB coupe driven by a 50-60 year old.

location: oakland... makes sense.

just got back from a friends place in LA, saw a bunch of stock g37's, every other car was a 3 series, benz galore, porsches, occasional maserati/R8/GTR high end stuff etc

basically you wont even get a second glance in LA unless you are heavily modded lol

I agree, our cars are definitely urban animals. When I'm in NYC visiting my parents, there are two to three 2nd gen G's parked on any given city block. Out here (central PA) I see maybe one a week.

Only gonna get worse as they depreciate and get in the hands of people who once could not afford them leading up to the new redesign then we will be forgotten like first gens oh well atleast you can appreciate a tastefully modded second gen among the masses if anything
