i have just been searching around but cant seem to find any info on the warranty for the 07 G...does anybody know how long the various warranties are in effect?

Is it recommended to get an extended warranty from the dealership?

Thanks

There are a couple pretty detailed threads about this a few pages back. They have most of the details of the different types of warranty based on milage, CPO, etc. Warranties differ if you have a CPO, vs. a regular purchase.

If you go the extended warranty route, make sure you get quotes from multiple dealerships. It doesn't matter where you buy it from (for me it was halfway across the country in an AZ dealership).

get ready to pay some big bux if you have high mileage 50k and up i think i got quotted $3k with a 0 deductible when i was shopping for a used G and decided to get a CPO instead.

but you should def shop around and call multiple dealerships!

Certified Pre Owned. They have different warranties and pricing than regular purchased vehicles.

^^yup yup!

usually trade ins or leased vehicles they bassical "certify" them and sell them for more...but when i was at the dealership they sold me the exntended warranty for $800 i believe the SAME warranty the infiniti dealership offered me for a private party purcahsed G. they make so much money off of the warranties is such a rip...

example she first asked me if i wanted it and said it was $2k then $1500 then $1200 and finally she said she would leave it at $800.

so now i have "bumper to bumper" till 120k or 2014

Any dealership would be able to check that for you or just call Infiniti. They can even tell you which dealership it was bought from. That's what i did when i was buying.

I got 5 years(starting last week)/100,000 miles(55,000 miles remaining) for $1900. Prolly should have barterd, but I spent four hours working the salesmen for a deal, I didn't even think about it once I got to the financial lady.

Yep, that's precisely what they count on and why they do all the ext. warr sales through their finance people at the last minute.
