^ Mine was loose and I tightened it. Is yours recently installed? Mine went from new tight to loose after the first 1K miles on the new belt.

I just had my drive belt replaced. OEM from the dealer shipped and had a local shop install it. Before I replaced it I noticed a screech (only lasted a sec or 2 in cold weather on cold startups only). The car had about 75,000 miles on it. The mechanic said the belt he replaced wasn't that bad. I still get a second long screech on cold start ups with the new belt. I'm under the impression that this car has an auto tensioner (if that's a word) so there's nothing to adjust. Is this ok to drive or do I have a bad tensioner or the dealer messed up the belt (they called and confirmed the year model and trim before shipping so I don't that's the case)?

Infiniti G35 Or G35s

Hello, I'm a 16 year old who has been saving a while for a used car and upon recommendations and reviews I have huge interest in a 2007-8 g35s but the problem is, I have heard that the suspension in the g35s is pretty rough so it is not a comfortable ride. And also, that the tires wear out really quick since they are staggered. I am planning on getting the five speed auto with paddles. Should I get the g35s or opt out for a g35 since it is more comfortable and the tires won't wear out as fast since I can rotate them. Also, paddles vs select shift? Thanks

I was just wondering if the ride on the s model was too rough and uncomfortable, and if I needed to replace the tires and brakes often

I got new rims and currently have three OEM tpms sensors, and the fourth one is a VDC brand oem sensor because the mechanic broke the original. I need to get the sensors reprogramed to my car. Will this VDC sensor cause any issues for me?

2008 G35x

Hi All,

I recently purchased a 2008 G35X with 67k miles. There are a few minor issues I would like to fix, and was hoping for the specific parts #'s, and a quality place to purchase these items:
  • Front Driver & Front Passenger - Window Switch bezel - Mine are scratched up pretty bad.
  • Steering Wheel trim bezel - Also, pretty scratched up.

In addition, the armrest on the drivers door seems to have sunken in. Is this common? Can it be fixed?

The interior is black leather.

Appreciate the help. Love the car, and excited to fix it up.

I had the same problem wiht the bezels around the doors in my car when I purchased it. What i did other than replacing them I just removed them very easy just get a flat head screw driver and start prying up form the back to the front and it comes up really easy. I got Some sand paper or you can use your nail if you like and just started removing all the black untill it was just down to the plastic. Then i just used a gray primer and then i used Rust-Oleum Universal Satin Black to paint over and it came out great! No more scratches. Other people also just used plastic wrap (black or carbon fiber) and that looks good too.
As far as the door seems you might need to replace the whole door panel.
Good Luck!

Almost all of the mods you can possibly do to this platform has been done. Keep searching around the forums, see what fits your style and your budget. Then research more on how to get it done and apply it to your vehicle.

2 things,,,

1 - My local dealer (NYC) wanted 3 hours @ $129 per hour to replace the steering wheel bezel. I have the part! Insane.

2 - Where can I purchase a new / used driver side interior door panel? The armrest on the panel caved in... The leather is in tact, but just hangs as the support is gone.

Thanks

Hey, can anyone tell me which filter can be seen from the battery compartment under the hood?

Was replacing my battery recently, spotted that filter back there, and noticed it's filthy. What is it?
