Typically, not so much, but it depends on where and how bad it is.

I am about to, I got their 75-90 GL-4 oil and 80-90 GL-5 for the differential. I just haven't installed it yet. I heard you want to squeeze a tube of their slip-lock differential lube in there too, makes it shift like butter (I know a guy who did it on his Z, loves it). Going to do both at our club's next tech day on the 17th. Will report back how it goes.

I also have their signature 15k/25k oil and ea12k filter I am installing next oil change too. Already did the wife's altima a couple weeks ago, so far so good.

hmmm...I'd be real cautious with that and do some serious homework before you do. Friction modifiers can be great in one tranny and kill another. Your basically startign with an oil that is one spec, and then changing it to another spec. I say, if the spec isn't right, start with one that is.

Your tranny is obviously an expensive part. You risk voiding any warranty with out of spec oil. Before I considered risking it, I'd want to be darn sure it wasn't based on anecdotal/imperially based results.

I'll ask my service guy when I call him this week. He told me before that changing the oil on the transmission is the first thing they can do to diagnose a noise.

I didn't wanna start a thread about a small issue.. So here goes nothing.

I was looking at an 07 G35S Sedan with 91K miles. Everything seemed fine when I test drove the car.. But here's where something goes wrong: when stationary, and trying to parallel park.. Whenever I turned the steering wheel, there was a clunk/knocking/thumping noise that would occur right when I turned the wheel. It came from the steering rack. Is this a big issue? Is this common? Could this be a huge problem?

Thanks guys!
P.S. the car drove fine.

Just quick question does our car really that quick to warm up? Because i noticed that everytime I start my car from cold start (over 8hrs not starting) It only takes me about 1min to get to the first line.. Just wondering because my old 03 coupe take about 3mins or up to get in the warm up mode.. (I'm getting oil change this week so maybe it change?)
