Where did you get your bearings from for those of you that replaced them on these cars and was it a pain to switch out?

I believe they're pressed.
I need to do one as well, assuming I ever get my car back.

from what ive gathered, the bearing itself doesnt come alone, its part of the hub assembly. about $103-$150 depending where you get it and if its OEM or another brand, i.e. Timken.

theres actually a DIY on switching it out for our 2nd gens somewhere on here.

anyone have a link? Sorry i can't find it. If it's part of the entire hub then it should be fairly easy to replace...thinking of replacing both fronts even though they may be fine...

Come on Anton, youve been here long enough to be able to search for such simple things it was the second search result lol... Anyways here ya go: Bearing DIY Enjoy!

Why change em if they arent bad, if your car ran perfectly fine with new wheels/tires at the dealership then its either the wheels or tires and nothing to do with bearings, so why waste $$ unless needed. You can have tire shop check if your wheels are in good shape or not by having them mount the wheel without the tire on the balance machine to check for damage/out of balance wheels.

Also make sure you thank him for such a detailed DIY which should help you save $200-400.

I'm too lazy to read the write up, but if this is anything like the Maxima the wheel bearings are usually sold only in complete kits with the hubs. However if you search hard enough (I think we bought them from AutoZone) you can get just the wheel bearings for about $50 at dealer price. It does take a press to get them out, but saves ya some money and doesn't take much time.
