I'm curious why the 225/40 in the front instead of a 225/45 ?
The front-to-rear diameter differences with the 40's are 2.4%, whereas with the 45's they're only 1%.

Hmmm good question. I've run the 225/40/19 and 245/40/19s for a couple of years on 8.5 and 9.5" rims and love the combination of comfortable ride and great handling. Not to mention that's the stock size tires on the 05-07 coupes with the OEM rays. Since it's less than 3% different F/R I've never had VDC issues.

Because my wheel widths are F 8.5" and Rear 9.5". You think the extra .5" in the front an 1" in the rear will rub?? Man really dont want to rub...

It's a bit more complicated than that. Assuming same offsets, that width is distributed inside and out.

So, for your 8.5 +30 fronts, the inner barrel will be 6mm closer to the suspension parts. The outer barrel will also be 6mm pushed out towards the fender.

The rears will be 13mm in and out respectively.

The width of the tires will also come into play depending on width and profile.

So the only way to know if i need to roll my fenders and if they will rub is to mount them with the tires and see?
