Eibach Sway Bars vs GT Spec Front Strut Bar

I am new this forum and this is my first post. However, i have been religiously been reading this forum and wanted to get advice and opinions. My G35 Journey (non-S) has too much body roll and I want it to be planted to the ground more. However, I do not want to give up ride comfort. This is going to be my first mod to the car. I am deciding between Eibach Sway Bars or GT Spec Front Strut Bar.

Eibach is going to cost me around $325 shipped and with installation will probably cost me a total of $500.

For the GT Spec Front Strut Bar is around $225 and I can install it myself.

Please give your input. I do not care about the aesthetics of the front strut bar. What I am really looking for is better performance for the money being put in.

Sway bars helped out alot for me. The strut bar does stiffen it up a littlle more. I noticed it on my G.

A strut bar does a completely different job than a sway bar and therefore the two cannot be compared. Strut bars reduce flexing of the metal in the upper shock towers when the shocks compress. This occurs either in hard cornering or can even be induced under hard braking (to a certain degree). Sways on the other hand reduce the angle of tilt which the car experiences during cornering but have no effect on braking/acceleration.
From your description you obviously want sway bars so go for that.

definitely sway bars! very easy to do yourself with just a socket wrench and jack and jack stands!

Thanks for the input. I have decided im going with the sway bar. I had a few questions though.

Since Eibach Sway Bars come with two different settings in the front and three in the back, which configuration do you like the best? I would like to know a detail comparison between the different settings. I am thinking of doing less stiff in the front and the middle one in the rear.

For installation, I have been looking it up and i think I can do it the front sway by myself. However, the rear sway seems to have a mixed input and I am not sure if i should just take it to shop to get it done. What did you guys do?

The first delivers a remarkable improvement. The second, almost nothing other than looks.

Two different things.

Go sways then strut tower if you have extra money.
