Year, mileage and what had broken on your car

2007 G35 75,000 miles

Radio head unit broke- $1200 repair
Problem with gas tank not filling up- $300 fix
Peeling trim
2 catalytic converters- under warranty (would have been $1200)

Need to get TSB done for clanking rear end on acceleration and deceleration

Average? Above Average? Below Average?

2008 G35S 6MT w premium & nav pkgs.

A TPMS sensor failed around 25K.
Now at 40K and the interior trim on the doors is starting to peel and the chrome Infiniti emblem on my engine cover has fallen off.

So far so good.

I'm under the original warranty until December and I'm considering the cost of extending it. This thread might help me make up my mind.

'07 journey 56k on mines.
1. Emblem on engine cover fell off.
2. door pulls replaced due to peeling.
3. steering wheel bezel trim replaced due to peeling.
4. the lower side instrument panel covers are warping. (these have an updated part number so it must be fixed).
5. passenger door washi trim cover peeled out in one side.
6. Cluster cover warping.
7. a baffle inside the mufflers got loose causing a 'tin can' sound upon accelerating when the engine was cold. sound would go away when hot. This was fixed by buying an invidia exhaust system

And that's it. The car is pretty solid. It's a such a blast to drive it. keeping it for a loooooong time.

I haven't had too many issues. The instrument clusters and door pulls when I bought it at 30k. No problems yet with 55k now on it.

The transmission was replaced due to a 5th gear grind-38k mikes.
Throw out Bearing at 45k.

And thats it. Every things been under warranty.

This site (http://www.truedelta.com) is also a pretty good resource for this type of information. I think many of us here have contributed.

That said, when I had a 2007 G35x, traded in with ~48,000mi the car had done:
a) brake judder - replaced rotors and pads under warranty
b) chipped front grille - replaced under warranty
c) chipped front door switch bezels - replaced under warranty
d) steering column replaced because it would move a little bit after it mechanically set into place - replaced under warranty.

On my 11 G37S 6MT; absolutely no problems (knocks wood)

07 G35 sold it w/ 36kmiles (now has 76k, sold to a friend), only issue was sunroof trim, fixed w/ TSB.

09 G37 40kmiles, no issues other than 2 Auto transmission reflash TSBs.

Paint sucks ballz on both cars tho

On the head unit, radio started just switching stations on me for no reason- got worse and worse until every couple of minutes it would just switch stations on me

Either it was broken or haunted!

Converter failure- got PO420 code/ check engine light

Just interesting to see some of these posts- I guess Infiniti is closer to being BMW like then what I wanted when I bought it! lol

No major issues in my opinion.

OEM brake rotors warped; replaced with stoptechs and no problems out of those.
Steering wheel and arm rest trim peeling.
Dash warping on lower drivers side.
Badge came off on engine cover and disappeared. (Anyone know where to get just the badge and not have to buy the whole cover?)
Two clips holding skid plate broke off.

I think the build quality isnt great, but then again beats paying 38k for a BMW 328 that doesn't have as much horsepower.... so much horse power that my coffee cup tips over when I floor the car... lmao

Relatively minor stuff:

1. Front brake judder replaced under warranty
2. Steering wheel bezel peeling replaced under warranty
3. Interior door pulls replaced under warranty
4. TPMS senor failed - replaced under warranty
