Iphone 5
Sorry to revive an old thread, but I didn't see anyone confirm whether they were able to get their iPhone 5's working properly with any of the adapters listed.
I can confirm that neither of the Apple lightning-to-30 pin converters worked for me on the new iPhone 5s.
I have a 2008 G35 Journey with Nav/Bose. I tried two converters from Apple: (1) http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD...apter?fnode=3c and (2) http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD...-02-m?fnode=3c.
When I plug either converter onto the factory cable, the phone doesn't even register as connected to the car.
Anyone else have the same experience?

Quick update on this. I exchanged the adapters at the Apple Store and still the same result. So I went and bought a new factory iPod cable from Infiniti and now I can connect my phone and use steering wheel controls (but not charging).
Then i guess it works like it should. The cable has never charged iphones that were released after iphone 3
Your phone is charging? my iphone 4 didn't change. I have an iphone5 right now but haven't got the adapter yet to see if music syncs, but its hard to believe it will charge the phone
It won't charge, the iPod cord puts out 12 volts, so the phone doesn't recognize it. You have to get the adapter with the dropping resistor in it to drop the voltage to 5 volts.
I just NISSAN would make a new cord that works with the 5 directly, they could very easy, but I doubt they will.

Thought you all would be interested that I now have my iPhone 5S working with full steering wheel controls AND charging. Details and parts list are here: https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-aud...ml#post6835096.
It sounds to me like you do not have the ipod integrations if you only have the av cables for simple audio input. Which will mean that you will not be able to control your iphone. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
You have no other options without doing any modifications to your car
