So I was in heavy stop and go traffic after work today (Same traffic I am in every day) and decided to reset my MPG calculator and let it tell me what my MPG is while in heavy traffic.

After about 10 minutes it finally showed me

7.7 mpg-sgkac.jpg

Mind you, I was not mashing on the gas at all. Just letting off the brake and braking again....for about 25 minutes.

Hate my commute.

Well at that avg speed I'm not surprised and many cars wouldn't be much different. As you know, ideling still = 0 mpg

Man my 2008 G35X averages 14MPG on my real short commute to work. I drive about 3 miles to work on back roads.

I just got a new job with a commute of 20 miles each way highway. Going to see how the MPG fares with this, but may have to sell the car

As long as you stay at highway speeds, it's not bad.

I have a 27-mile commute to work each way. I average 25-26MPG at 60-70MPH. Been doing this every day for the last 5 years putting about 25,000 miles/year on my '06.
