Ok kid, that last post got u thinking i guess... But my suggestion is, if u want ur car to b faster (which already is) don't go crazy with engine mods, just delete the mufflers and it may not be faster but it will definitelydefinitely sound like it's faster and the best thing is that cops won't pull u over because the sound is not as loud as the loud *** mustangs, just get rid of the mufflers and ull b happy cause cops won't bother u, unless he/she a hater, i live in NYC and never said anything to me... Good luck son.

I know someone already mentioned this but a G35 at 17 yo.... Wow. I am 26 and paid everything by myself (maintenance, insurance, gas, loan) and to tell you the truth... My G is one of the worst investments I ever made. I say that because it drinks a lot of gas, maintenance is expensive, tires are expensive (you don't want to go cheap on that), insurance is expensive... And it has a little too much power. I couldn't imagine having 306hp at my disposal when I was 17 (I had a Civic) and RWD to boot. The car grips like crazy and is fun in the corners that is why I kept it. I am scared to this day to go full throttle on public and open roads. It takes ***** to drive one in Winter with All Seasons even with AWD. I'm going to purchase snow tires later this year.

You will almost always never utilize all of that power in traffic anyways.

My advice is save your money by putting it in a savings account and when the car breaks down or it needs a differential fluid or any other kind of fluid change, batteries, serpentine belt, filters, brakes, tires, etc. You are ready.

these are good for approx 7-8 hp, if they don't make ur car faster, you'll def get a nice TB response at least.
don't wanna talk a lot abt these as been discuessed quite enough before.
besids, this is a popular setup with z guys over there, none of them disappointed.
i can assure u this .. these are BETTER than a SRI !

Its not just a flat 2% more speed/accelleration across the board. If you expect to go from getting your *** kicked to smoking the same cars you will be seriously disappointed. If you like the extra roar from the engine and don't expect to notice any performance improvement than you will be very happy.

Even if it added 50hp, it won't make the car any faster unless the limiter is removed.

Slightly quicker, maybe, but not necessarily faster.

how about 0-100 ?
1/8 ?
1/4 ?

won't it be faster with those 50 hp added up ?
when we talk about making it " faster " , does it always refer to the "top speed" from your point of view ?!
my point is .. everyone can reach the top speed of this car when the limiter is removed , either stock or modified, but the question is .. who's going to reach there first ?!

First you have to understand what horsepower is an how it relates to speed. Second, you have to define "fast".

If fast = top speed, you are limited to the maximum RPM of the engine and the gearing. There is virtually nothing you can do that will get you much of a higher top speed. If you need to go faster than 140mph, please let me know where you live so I can avoid you.

if fast = acceleration than you have to pit horsepower and torque against mass. Horsepower is the amount of energy needed to move a given amount of weight a given distance in a given time. If you want your car to be quicker, you have to either increase horsepower significantly or reduce mass. If you are a fat slob that is 100 pounds overweight, eating salads and dropping 100 pounds is equivalent to adding a few horsepower. Remove the rear seat and passenger seat, switch to a racing driving seat, switch the hood and trunk to carbon fiber, get lighter wheels/tires, switch to a carbon fiber driveshaft, switch to lightweight pulleys and you might shave another 200 pounds, making your given horsepower much more efficient. Add a supercharger or turbo and gain even more torque which will help move the existing mass faster.

Since horsepower is expensive to add, removing weight is much easier and gives the same benefit.

Or just go for it and add a nitrous system
