349096 is the part number for 2008+. G37 coupe

Thanks! Do you also have the part numbers for the front ones with sport suspension?

Wondering if you have tried to install it with success. If so, mind sharing the KYB part number for the rear shocks you used?
I tried to do the same to my '07 coupe today but my mechanic said the KYB P/N 349096 for the rear shocks doesn't fit. I didn't believe him since this the P/N i got from KYB website but he went ahead and showed it to me. He couldn't bolt the shock to the rear mount because the thread on the bolt was shorter than stock. Is there a special rear mounting kit or something that would make it work?
u owe ur mech an apology

Sorry for late reply. Part number is 349096, 2007 base sedan. Took an hour to install, definitely stiffer than stock ones. No alignment since I did not touch rest of suspension. Will order the fronts in a few weeks to replace over the holidays.

lol, he didn't charge me cuz part of it was his fault. Him & his parts vendor relied on the website from the manufacturer and ordered parts from there. I just ordered a set of 4 from amazon at a good price. hopefully I'll get it right this time.

tbear35, thanks for the help but my car is a coupe. I was desperate cuz I didn't want to spend over $1k for the OEM parts so i jumped on the search tool and didn't realize was on the sedan forum. I even emailed the technical support at KYB and they told me that they don't make shocks for the 07 coupe. Their response was literally a few words so I thought those guys are a joke. LOL.

You guys have been great help. thanks to mustang5l5 too!
I started my own thread on the KYB shocks too, under to coupe forum. Once I get all the parts ordered and installed, i will update it accordingly.

Lads, I would like to jump the tail of this thread, please. I have an 03 G 35 Sedan, 150,000 kms. I would like to bring the suspension back to oem new, if possible. Front and rear. I do not want to go after market but I will if it helps. I am also dealing in Can $s and have my G dealer maintained. 6 years and no issues. Suggestions will be appreciated.

I picked the KYB's because they are generally a cheaper alternative to OEM shocks but good quality. I cannot comment on any other aftermarket shocks. If I were you I would check with the dealer to see if they would even install anything aftermarket (or were you planning on going to another shop?).

I'm taking my G to the dealer tomorrow to replace some belts. They have a 15% discount on suspension work. The lad I work with at the dealer will give me a written estimate for the suspension work. I might do front first then back a couple of months later. Depends on the price.

Good luck. Hopefully not too big of a jolt to the wallet.

Tech states suspension is good. Firm, no leaks and good for another 20-30,000 kms. I will leave it alone. I only drive 5,000 kms a year so I'm ok for awhile. Car runs excellent, with no issues. I'm ok, as I said, with dealer maintenance. I just replace a couple of belts in the front, beginning to fray. I get on this stuff immediately rather than later. It is a very good vehicle, reliable, fast enough, I ride a bike with 150 rwhp so I get to go as fast as I dare. It is a going to church car for my wife on Sundays, and really just a grocery getter for me. When I travel state side or longer distances this vehicle is safe, comfortable and reliable. No regrets. I ve put on 50,000 kms in 6 years. Could upgrade, but why bother. I prefer to help my kids and spoil my grand kids.

That worked out well. I only get to drive mine on weekends as used as a school taxi during week so not a lot of usage as well. I am going to replace my fronts soon though - when changing the oil I saw a dried oil on the driver side one.
