custom lighting v36

hey everyone i just finished a custom headlight job. I had a few things in mind to change up the front end a little.
1. blacked out housing trim
2. colored shrouds
3. halo led drl
4. led signal and parking
5. upgraded lighting
6. bumper fog lights

I tried to take many pictures but I ended up taking less than intended but I can give a step by step if I can manage to get these photos up.

Oh ignore the attachements.

I first removed the bumper, it is explained on another thread somewhere.

Then I got to work on the bumper to do a window cutout for projector fog install.

This is a sheet of polycarbonate I picked up a a local hardware store.

Used a hot glue gun to insert windows. this took a lot of precise measuring and trimming with an oscilating tool.

I then put black silicone adhesive around the front side to create a tight weather seal, one of the pics I forgot to take.

with that done mounting the projectors directly behind the windows was the next step. I got some L brakets from hardware store and lined up center to center (bracket to window) and used self tapping screws to mount the bracket to the front bumper beam. the projector housings have a threaded shaft mount, which required a 7/8 inch hole to be bored into the bracket.

Before I get to the next step I should tell you guys what and where the lighting products I used are. The projectors are Morimoto Mini H1 projectors with standard smoked shrouds. I got these from The Retrofit Source from their website.

here is the projector installed in position. as You can see for mounting clearance the was the best location for the mount for the projector and bulb to clear. That is why the fogs are in so close.

Okay So I put the bumper back on for a test fit. the projectors protruded out too far using the threaded shaft mount. Must find another way.

I decided to remove the lens bracket from the housings using a #2 philps screwdriver, 4 screws for each projector

I dont get what you are tryign to do. Why didnt you just mount the fog in the bumper? You cut out a random square hole and hot glued in a piece of clear plexy for a round fog? Plus you made them completely nonadjustable.

Blue indicates screw threads for lens bracket and green for holes for custom mounts. I attached these smaller brakets using a 5mm x .80 stainless tapered bolt and nut as well. hex nut was 8mm in diameter and bolt used 3mm allen.
