front shock install help

There's probably a DIY but I'm guessing you're having trouble removing the strut and spring clamps won't fit. To get it out you need to remove the arm A arm/wishbone and then pry down on the lower arm while pulling out the strut. Two people make it easier but I have done it by myself. If that isn't doing it maybe remove the ARB drop link too.
Put some tape or something over the fender edge as the top of the strut will likely come into contact and scratch it here.

Here's the DIY that I just used:

The main 19mm bolt is a bit of a bitch, and I needed a 36" cheater bar to get both loose. A powerful impact driver would also work. Assuming nothing breaks, it's not too difficult. Rent a spring compressor and 250 ft-lb wrench from an auto parts store for free. Whatever you do, don't do it without the compressor. The strut mounts are much easier to get off with an impact driver as well. Dropping the sway bar also made it easier, especially lining up the lower shock mount bolt.
That 19mm nut needs to be 120 ft-lbs, and I've seen specs for the other three small bolts that aren't shown in the FSM anywhere from 55-90. I made mine around 70. Torque specs for the rest are the last number in parentheses here: http://www.nicoclub.com/manuals/G37/Sedan/2011/FSU.pdf
Edit - my struts dropped out of the bottom, so no worries about touching sheetmetal.
