Hello! Joined the forms sadly because my car is a bit messed up, but was hoping someone here could help me. I’ve had it for a little over a year and it hasn’t had any major problems till now. It’s a 2007 G35 sedan with 88k miles and it seems to start but not completely. When I pushed the start button this morning, it went to “on” and everything turns on in the car, except the engine, and now it is stuck on the “on” position. I can change all my gears, and the break seems to have a pressure behind it . I’ve tried unhooking the battery but it just turns back on and the engine doesn’t run. I’m not sure what’s wrong but I’d greatly appreciate some help before I haul it off to the mechanic.

 

How old is your battery?

Test it with a battery hydrometer



If it is the original battery, replace it
