Exclamation stiff brake pedal when car is off

08 G sedan 95K miles... car sat for almost a month and afterward the brake pedal is very stiff when the car is off. brakes are fine once it's running but it's irritating since brake pedal required for push button start. brake fluid level ok, fluid changed a year ago, no signs of leak from master cylinder. i've tried pulsating brakes when car is running to loosen it up but hasn't helped.

any ideas of how to get it back to normal?

I had this happen to me. what you have to do really push the pedal in to start the car. It sucks because it really hard to start the car at that point but you will get it.

thanks, did it ever get better or stay this way? maybe it will soften up in warm weather, but it's rarely very cold for very long in atlanta
