P0171 isn't a MAF code, it's just saying that bank 1 is running lean. It could be a LOT of things so start troubleshooting rather than throwing parts at the car.

Hi Cleric,
Thanks for your input ! I am not a car mechanic a computer tech by trade..I rely on google and auto zone. I am guessing it is MAF as i have 80k on thisG35 and have never cleaned the MAF sensors..I wil clean these first. The autozone person thought it may be a vacum issue..Do you have any suggestions on next step if cleaning the sensor fails?..Thanks for your time !

It usually is a vacuum leak, real-time scanning the O2 sensor data will probably tell you a lot. Look at your short-term fuel trim and see how far off it is, it starts to throw that code when it has to add more than +25% fuel on that bank.

With the engine on and the vehicle in park stop the throttle wide open is there a bit of a lag? If so then it is almost definitely a vacuum leak. Check to make sure the intake pipes are tight and that there is no rips or tears in the accordion flexible section. Also check your PCV hoses to make sure that they are tight on the fittings take out the PCV valve and shake it to make sure it rattles. If any of those hoses are loose and can be turned easily then they are sucking air. Also check the brake booster line.
