Hello, I'm new here and pretty new to Infiniti in general, but loving it so far. I bought my 2007 G35s Sedan with low miles and besides the typical things here and there that needed to be replaced I just ran into a hurdle and I'm kind of stuck hoping yall can help. I've looked all over and I don't think it's been asked yet, but things similar have been asked. So, My brake lights aren't working so my car isn't starting, I know what yall thinking, "The brake light switch or the brake fuse or the brake light relay". Sadly that is not it. I legit swapped them all out just to switch them out to be on the safe side and I like said before I just bought the car so why not. The brake lights illuminate when I set the alarm and lock it using the key fob, but other than that nothing. The tail lights work but again no brake lights. I appreciate all yall in advance.
It's probably your parking lights that flash with the fob, not the brake lights. Unplug the brake pedal brake light harness (make sure it's the brake light harness and not the one for the cruise control) and see if you have voltage. At least then you will know which direction the problem is.

Hey, Thanks for the response! I didn't think I was going to get one after a couple of days. Yeah, at first they were the taillights but it's 100% the brake lights. The taillights are the outer ring of lights that stay on with the headlamps when switch on. The brakes to my understanding are the innermost lights. As far as "unplugging the brake pedal light" do you mean the brake light switch from the harness? If that's the case I'm assuming the car doesn't have to be on to get that voltage reading. And what kind of reading am I looking for voltage-wise?

So, I removed the brake light switch and checked the harness with a voltage tester "voltage light". With the accessories on just in case, I got nothing on any of the connections. Took it a step further and went to the brake light relay and saw that I'm not getting anything on that harness either.
Make sure it's the correct switch on the brake pedal, there are two and I THINK the brake light switch is the one at the top. It's a 4 wire harness and pin 1 should be hot full time regardless if ignition position (brake lights should work ALL the time no exceptions).
If you don't have 12vdc on pin 1 then go to the cabin Fuse Block - J/B that's also in the driver seat footwell and check fuse 7 (10 amp) for power.
