Sorry for the poor focus. It's cylindrical and seems to have a single vacuum line coming out of the bottom. I may have disconnected it at some point and forgot where it plugs in. Couldn't seem to find the object in the shop manual. Left side of image is the firewall. Thanks.

 

Need a pic with better focus. Normally on a smartphone you can tap on the screen exactly where you want the camera to focus on.

 

Got it this time! Want to figure out where I'm supposed to connect its tubing. Thanks.

 

OK - figured it out from looking at used engines on eBay. It's an air breather hose for the transmission. Must have pulled it by accident.

 

That's what I suspected since I didn't see one on my vehicle (6MT). Not sure where it's supposed to attach.

Mine's also a 6MT. I didn't mention it in the original post because I couldn't imagine it was relevant.

If you're trying to locate, it attaches to the rear water pipe, on the passenger side.
