Another water Leak Thread...

2007 G35x - Water leaking in on passenger side. A few months ago I removed sunroof drain in the firewall, cleaned and tested. Water flowed out great. Since then the car has still been leaking quite a bit on the same side. I sealed the rubber boot where the wiring harness goes through the firewall. It rained last night and again I had water. I sprayed the car windshield with a hose this morning and checked for water, none coming in. I then sprayed the roof and water is coming in. I removed the tube and grommet from the firewall again and routed it into a bucket. Sprayed the roof again and water was flowing out the drain tube, but was also still coming down the very front corner under the dash just ahead of the wiring block that is under the passenger side kick panel. I cannot figure out where this water is coming from. Any ideas and assistance in how to fix this is appreciated. It is raining again and we don't really use the car too much so I have covered it with a tarp until I can work on it again.

Drain line detached from sunroof?

I didn't have that issue... mine was firewall and put in alternate drain line

You may need to drop headliner to know for sure

If I pour water into the sunroof drain it flows well and exits out under the car. Headliner is dry. Only floor getting wet and it is trickling in at the far right corner under the dash where the firewall meets the side of the car.

Your mom's boyfriend
I keep hearing stories like this and never want to open my sunroof ever again.

The most common source of the problem should be coming from your sunroof down.

Could it be coming from the battery tray? the area under, or behind the battery?
