Hello everyone, and Happy New Year (a bit late)!



I drive a v36 2008 G35 sedan, and I’ve been hearing a metallic popping noise coming from the left rear seat area. I recorded a video and an audio clip to capture the sound.


When the noise occurs:

During hard acceleration from a stop (Drive mode)

During sudden reversing (Reverse mode)

Irregularly on rough roads or speed bumps

Happens when the front wheels pass over, followed by the rear wheels



I recorded the video outdoors, and the audio clip from inside the car by placing my phone in the rear cup holder.



Notably,

When accelerating hard in D, a metallic popping noise occurs.

Sometimes, even just shifting from D to R and releasing the accelerator causes the sound.



Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

I appreciate any advice or insights. Thanks in advance

(I removed all rear seat including arm rest, but the noise persisted and couldn’t fix it, but it was coming from rear driver’s side seat area..)

The bolt near by left rear seat area seems causing the squeaky or metallic popping noise, but i couldn’t find no nuts to tighten it… is it the bolt holding gas tank??
