I just got my '07 G35S running, and I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to get the keyless start working. If I try to press the start button when the key is not in the slot, it just shows the "insert key" icon on the cluster display. It's worth noting that the antenna on the rear of the center console was unscrewed from the console when I removed it (deep cleaning the interior) so I don't know if someone was messing with it before because of this issue.
They keyless lock/unlock buttons on the doors work perfectly, remote buttons work fine, and the car starts fine when I insert the key. I went through the key programming process on my scan tool, and it went through like everything is working right, but for whatever reason the key isn't recognized unless it's in the slot.
And before anyone asks, yes, the battery is good. I'm leaning towards a possible antenna issue, or potentially it's a different programming process that I need to use under the NATS menu. No codes on the BCM or any other modules.
