2007 Sedan Unveiling & Pics Update
I'm going to estimate the starting price on a G will be around the same (maybe $1K over) what it is now but the maximum price for the car will probably top out around $40K-$42K now. I hope the interior gets that big overhaul that we've been hoping for.. I'm a bit tired of the silver center stack and like the way Lexus and BMW/Audi/Mercedes did NOT put the full aluminum/metal look in their newest models.

The lexus IS sport has aluminum trim,
but the center stack is painted & cheap looking IMO
(had one out for a test drive)

I can't stand it anymore. I visited the site today over 20 times looking for a new thread titled "New 07 sedan pics". I can't beleive someone with a camer phone hasn't snapped a pic. The car must be in New York by now getting prepped for the big debut. Things I think we'll see:
• Center stack headlights are gone...more like the magazine photos (very M35)
• A nice fat bumper like the coupe with no overhang.
• Thinner tailights, but shape will be similar to the current model
• Dashlights set back in oval pods like the M....orange? hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised.
It feels like Christmas eve as a kid.....can't wait to drive a loaner.

JMO but I think they just registered the name to protect themselves.
But, if they were to change,
they'd likely maintain the G35 moniker right up until the unveiling

why would they register g37 to protect themselves? lol you people have very little business sense if you think that would be a likely defensive trademarking maneuver. They are obviously planning to use it. The only question is whether it will be now or later. It seems like a good move to me to move up to a 3.7 now as all the other vehicles in the class are being released with more power.
Nissan has registered the names “Infiniti G37,” “Infiniti M37,” and “Infiniti FX37″ with the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office. Typically, companies register names of new products a few weeks or months before their introduction. Infiniti is widely expected to unveil a new G Coupe and Sedan at the New York Auto Show in April, based on the Infiniti Coupe Concept. It appears the company will also use the opportunity to transition from its current 3.5-liter V6 to a new 3.7-liter engine. The M and FX model lines — which currently use the same 3.5 liter engine — will also be transitioned to the new engine, but it’s not clear when.
