Same here - and that pic, even though it is not the Red maple says a-lot about the quality of the interior vs the G. I personally think that my interior is one of the most cheapest around, it's almost embarrassing how cheep it is.

The '05/'06 G interior with rosewood is actually not terrible (imo) - the '03/'04 were definitely bad. Either way they are all showing their age and need an upgrade. One more day.

 

Showing their age, give me a break..............the '05-'06's are not showing their age, if you feel they are, you have more money than sense!

 

Then buy the Lexus instead of complaining all the time................

 

If I do not like the new G35, you can count on it. Already have a trade-in value and price on a new IS350 worked out. As a matter-of-fact, you'll be the 1st person I send pics of the IS350 to - and pics of all the other used G35's on the lexus lot

 

Too bad the Lexus has more painted plastic than the 03-04 G had in it. lol. 05 G35 is just better quality over the IS250/350.

Umm yes... Or maybe the same amount? I will put pics up tonight I had online of one I took pictures of. Cheap plastic everywhere. All painted trim, painted door handles, etc. Now if you get a model with wood, it looks a lot better, but the ones without, omg so help me.

 

yeah, that is a pretty ridiculous comment. the IS's quality is far superior to the G's, but that's not saying the new G will still be worse than the current IS.

 

Sorry it isn't. I know people who bought the G over the IS due to this reason. Like I said, I even have pictures.

 

I wonder what cars others are coming from given those who think the G35's interior is on-par w/Lexus/Acura/Audi - I would surmise this would be some American nameplate or Korean/Chinese, or some other model that’s more than 6 years old. But these are also the same people who think the Bose system is great also.

There's more to an interior than a $5.00 piece of aluminum trim, and paper-cone drivers.

 

Just like how everyone else though the TL was better put together, but the car is falling apart and not build as good as the G. lol

seriously? i've sat and driven in both, and the quality of the new IS is just SO much better than the current G. the quality of the dash materials, wood, the way the ***** are put together, everything.

isn't the whole G center console plastic? and if it's not, the tubular area that goes across the dash is way more plasticky than anything in the IS interior.

WHATEVER! who cares; im sure the next G unveiled in a couple hours will blow them both out of the water.

 

Ahhh more painted plastic to scratch.
