By protect, it means to protect the name from being used by another company before they use it, that's called having foresight. Business sense huh? What do you do Sash?

This update SHOULD be a lot bigger and better than the '05 update was although we'll wait and see. I look forward to all of the new tech features but don't expect any in-car amenities that you haven't already seen on the M and FX. Btw, has anyone noticed how the Q gets no love tech wise? It just kind of sits there at the top with nothing to do.

G37 doesn't even roll off the tongue like the 35 did.

Lexus IS300 = 3.0l .... IS350 = 3.5l
BMW 325 = 2.5l 3.30 = 3.0l
WTF wouldn't the 3.7l G sedan be a G37? sound good to me.
The IS claims the to have the most powerful engine in its class 306hp, infiniti has to do something to combat that.
Infiniti has kept this car under super tight wraps, and I mean super tight, and it is likely because it is more than just a car it's unveiling! it is the new engine for a whole class of infiniti vehicles. This means they are revealing something to the competition about their next suv, etc. Other car companies may have those types of vehicles in design right now. I'm sure you follow what I am saying. To me all of the signs point to G37 and I welcome it!

They're going to change the names across the board imo. The next M will be M37, the next FX will be FX37 - and when they up the displacement on the V* the FX45 and M45 names will probably change too.

I happen to like the IS's interior alot. Interior has always been a big selling point for me, so I'm anxiously awaiting the new G's changes. I think that was Infiniti's biggest downfall with the G.
