2007 Sedan Unveiling & Pics Update
Lexus IS 250/350 has better fit and finish but I wouldn't say the quality is that much improved over a 05-06 G35 to warrent the difference in price. For 35-37K I would rather have a G35sprt/prem than a IS250 but IS350 you are talking another story but then again I would rather have a BEEMER for that price. I will be checking this tread through out the day since I am on Hawaii time the pixs will show up early in my day! I was hoping for some early release spy pixs so I am thinking the new G35 will not be that much of a departure from the current out or else Infiniti would have let the cat out of the bag earlier to build up excitement like they did with the 2002 Altima back in 2001.

After test driving an IS350...
Other than being quicker, I was not that impressed.
If I was pulling the trigger I would def have gone with a Bimmer in that price range.

. side note FYI... Beemer=bike & Bimmer=car

R32, R33, R34 Body... RB series engine...GT, GTs-T, GTR models
V35 & CPV35 bodies... VQ series... GT250 Model (2.5L), GT300 (3.0L), GT350 (3.5L) -- note that only the 3.5L hit our shores.
So in keeping with past Nissan naming, The V35 body could conceivably have a VQ37 engine with a GT370 model designation. Remember the car is just as much designed for Japanese comsumers as for North America.

So the question remains...are we looking at a new platform (V36)? The Japanese car mags seem to think so...
We'll see in about 21 hours...UNLESS SOMEONE working the show in NY can snap a few pics and post up some specs!
SOMEONE'S gotta be waxing this thing RIGHT NOW!!!

At this point in the life cycle, I just can't see a whole new platform...
The more they can get out of the existing FM the better the bottom line $

I'm hoping that they'll at least stiffen the chassis,
& sort out the feathering issue with a redesigned suspension.

i think we are in agreement about the model number designation, and it could very well be a new platform. in fact, i'd be surprised if it isn't.
