I have to say I was expecting a more "ground breaking" design for the G, I'm def not an infiniti hater, but I think they should've done a better job on this (just from looking at pics of course).

""Ground Breaking"" is what they do for a new car model. The G35 is an existing car model, manufactors want to keep the same buyers so they just evolve it from its existing design. Even the IS350 looks similar to the car it replaces.
Speaking of the IS350, the car looks way better in pictuers then it did in real life, when I went to the dealership is looks very bland on the outside, I was reather surprised. I have a feeling the new G35 will be the opposite, look bland in pictures but look pretty good in Real Life.

Ya but lower roof line means those of us over 6' tall are screwed. The major reason I ended up going with the Sedan over the Coupe was because there was no head room in the coupe.
Hard to tell the actual width by looking at pictures, once we get some actual #'s we can compare it to the existing sedan...
I agree with you on the rear of the car, not all that crazy about the bumper design....

I love some of the changes, but it's great for me as it doesn't make me inclined to trade up to an 07 G35.. now an M35/M45 in the future...

I'm really pissed off about the interior upgrade now...could I have waited another 10 months or so?
Probably not--considering the beat down I managed to throw on the dealer for my ‘06, I’d spend another 7 grand just for the privilege of buying the new model.
Man, the steering wheel is worth $1,000 alone! And look: the Radio Power button is on the driver side! Those guys!
I’ll bet that a loaded 2007 G35x is in M35x territory…45 grand.
Available Infiniti Navigation System
Available Infiniti Studio on Wheels
Available RearView Monitor
Available Bluetooth®
Available satellite radio
Available Intelligent Cruise Control
They’ll package some or all of this stuff under a Technology Option>>>$5,000 (that’s about what they get on the Ms). Another 2 for Nav…and so on…
Available sport-styled front seats, steering wheel and aluminum pedals. Probably for the Sport only? Another 2 grand…
BTW--anyone see the Shift Paddles on these pics? I can not.
Finally, can anyone provide a link to evidence of the "NY Times says 325 HP" rumor that's been floated out there?

more pics here (consolidating from the 12 other posts)

Those dark interior shots look awesome with the backlighting on the dials in the center console. It's also great to see a RED MFD (not ORANGE as previously pictured) Works great with the blue (like my old Passat!)
The more I see it, the more I want it...and I want this car like only a man could want something...
