No way! I ordered mine late August '03, took delivery November 28th and paid $36,500. I probably could have gotten a better deal, but I didn't want to push my luck since I was ordering the car with a rare combo of options. New color, LSD, 6mt, Navi, Nismo. Still don't see many like this around.

So Michelle,

in that demo video--he said over 300hp new engine, new susp. design front and rear, revised brakes, and when combined we think will deliver the best performance in terms of acceleration, braking, and handling of any competitor (even the IS350?)that wants to take us on." BOLD STATEMENT

I hope the car can back that up in the way of 0-60 times or the IS350 will take accelearation honors at 5.1sec to 60mph.

those however are not consistant numbers. that was Motor Trends one time numbers. the IS had numbers all over the place when being reviewed.

and the G is bigger heavier car....it will not get there....but i expect it to be fast

Good find. That would be awesome if you had the ability to just copy your cd's to the onboard hard drive. I can't wait to find out if this will store movies & videos as well. This doesn't necessarily rule out the CF slot at all though.

I was just at the show yesterday and the new Altima has signal mirrors. Both the Sentra and Altima have bluetooth and intelligent key, and the Altima adds touchscreen navigation, rearview monitor, dual zone climate and rear vents as options.

This proves that many features once thought of as high end are now becoming available to cheaper cars. We should more have features available to set us apart.

Overall, I like the car's interior very much (especially the steering wheel). Overall, a very modern, driver's cockpit that easily beats the one in the BMW 3 series.

Exterior looks are a mixed bag. I like the evolutionary design implemented here, but the front end doesn't remind me of the previous G35. Rather, it looks like it's taken on shapes and cues from the M35/45 (another great looking car) and perhaps even the Altima/Maxima...

Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to seeing the car in person and checking out the specs. I'm certain that the car's performance will be phenomenal. I also hope that Infinti is rating their horsepower figures under the new SAE-certified regulations (to my knowledge, all of their refreshed/redesigned cars are.)

Overall, good things from Infiniti. It's just too bad that the GT-R won't get Infiniti designation here. The brand could have really used a halo car.

OOH..... Guy Legend from C&D forum!!

Honestly, that's our engineering goal for the vehicle--to accelerate, brake and handle better than our competitors and our engineering teams are working very hard to achieve just that!

Also, keep in mind that road tests in the car magazines will be in print in late fall, so we'll know then if we've been successful

nfinitimichell, Along with the performance, are they working at better fuel economy. The price of fuel now at $3/gal and will only continue to rise in the forseeable future. lexus EPA rating is 21/28 vs the current VQ @ 18/25.
