What is the purpose of you chiming in now? This has been discussed and I already conceeded that my suggestions aren't wanted. Is there a purpose of you re-itterating something that has already been put to rest or do you just want your presense known? No need to shadow what your husband and I already discussed. See post #84. I agreed. Leave it alone and move on.

Thanks.

I really don't care what the subject matter is, be nice. She is simply stating some facts, treat her with respect.

Thank you, do you motorboat?

Excuse me? WTF? I didn't see any of this until when I was posting. I had an opinion so I gave it. Is there some reason that you are the only one who can give an opinion on this? Or are you just upset that someone else has a different opinion than you?

How about reading through a thread instead of skimming it before making a comment.

I don't feel like I am the only one that can make a comment. Thats the purpose of forums...to make comments.

I'm not upset about someone having different views than me. I gave my suggestion, it was determine that its not feasible. I said okay. I agreed. I moved on. Is there something I'm missing?

What? I have READ every post in this thread and I gave my opinion. I think you either aren't reading what other people write or the rest of us have lost our ability to communicate.

Sorry, but to me that's inaccurate........here's just a couple of posts that are more than 1 day old & clearly aren't going to be moved, that technically, per the new rules, should be relocated to one of the appropriate sub-forums:

https://g35driver.com/forums/picture-share/151840-some-update-engine-shots-my-sedan.html (should probably be in Media share Engine subforum)

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/151034-getting-rid-eyelids-0-a.html (should be in the body interior exterior subforum)

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/150593-simple-mod.html (should be in the body interior exterior subforum)

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/150550-t-illuminated-selector-lever-console.html (should be in the body interior lighting subforum)

And the list goes on................ I'm not trying to be a wise a$$ here...just pointing out that it's subjective & not in clear black & white....as to me, the above threads too are not in the proper forum area.

You're entirely correct. There are plenty of posts that could be put in more specific sections.

Jeff asked a question in another thread a while back regarding moderation of the 07 Sedan forum. He asked why wasn't that section being moderated as heavily as some of the other sections. Perfectly valid question.

I'll respond to you the same way I responded to Jeff. I'm not an active moderator, if that makes any sense. Before I'm a moderator, I'm a general user. I log in like everybody else to read new content. I use the New Posts feature, and spawn off tabs on anything of interest as I page through the results. As I'm reading the threads that I've opened in separate tabs, if I notice that it better belongs in a new home, I'll move it. I don't actively visit a section looking specifically for threads to be moved.

As such, there are quite a few threads that I leave alone. And I will admit that my behavior is cavalier and arbitrary at best. I should be more thorough and consistent.

But - I do try to be lenient. Take QuadCam's engine bay thread for example. I noticed that, and thought to myself that I should move it to the Media Share section. But, I know QuadCam. He's been a member here way longer than me; more than two years. I know he knows what the rules are. I see him participate in threads throughout this site, and over on my350z. I know that he is usually topical, and has an understanding on what is relevant. In short, I trust his judgment. I figure that if he posted the thread in the general sedan section for a reason, that I'll respect it and leave it alone. Plus, he wasn't asking questions or looking for feedback.

Now here comes the point where people jump on me for being inconsistent. If I am willing to leave QuadCam's thread in place, why do I move the others? Speaking for myself only, the vast majority of threads that I move I move to the tech area. All of those threads are asking questions, most of which can be answered by coupe owners as well.

You might not like my answer, or reasoning, but I'm just trying to be honest.

While your post is accurate I meant generally speaking you acn take a look at whats up with being able to be in that forum by looking at those threads. While not entirely accurate you get the idea.

We pretty much nail every fish in the water when we go. If worse comes to worse, we usually dropped dynamite to stun the fish and catch them as they come to the surface.

OK,

Here is my $0.02 and advice regarding all the subsections.

We (including the mods and everone else) need to try and think of the 10 or so most common questions we see in each section and actually take the time to make a sticky thread with answers for each one. With all the time spent moving threads this could have happened a long time ago. I will try to work on this too.

Whether or not you keep moving threads the same old questions will keep coming up in the coupe or sedan or whatever section because the previous one with the answers will move to the bottom then the next page and so on until the next new member asks again.

Lets try this and maybe help everyone.

People will continue to post stuff in the wrong section. I may do it from time to time to make sure the right traffic sees it. If you want to give it a short life and move it, go ahead. I have realized this is a loosing battle and will admit whether or not I like it there is some benefit.

Hell make me a mod and I will try to get started on the sticky threads. I'm not just trying to make more work for you.
