Wow no good

All the hype & prototypes waiting & wondering, it looks worse than current gen.? I read the article & they say the interior is great change & the motor of course but why put all that in an less aggressive, coupe than last?

I have to say the same about the sedan. I had an 03 & now 05X was waiting for 07 & when you are on the lot it is hard to pick out the 07 from the previous gen across the lot. Unless you are a G junkie it is hard to tell. They had to take a step out to catch BMW but in my opinion they are still a step behind always chasing but never leading. Now I will wait for the 08 Sedan (I have 2 kids) & see if at least they put the 3.7 in as then there is a reason to move out of my 05, but for coupe owners I really see not much difference?

Like everyone else I wish it had retained the aggressive look of the concept however with a body kit, new wheels and a drop i think it will be an amazing car. The interior looks a lot better than the current G. I will wait to see it at the NYIAS.

I took the liberty to add it to the list of coupes that someone else put together.

A lot of the elements from the side profile of the 08 Coupe is from the Concept -- which is cool. The Altima shouldn't even be in the list :-P

I don't know - the new Coupe looks good.

exactly....

I'm pretty disappointed.

Like another member said on the other forums...

"It's like the Altima raped the CLS and out came a retarded child."

I've got to admit, I actually like the side view of the car in the newer pics. Too bad the front is do damn ugly. If they had just left the front end of the concept they'd have had a slam dunk.

I think Automobile mag said it right. It looks soft in the pictures but in person, it looks real aggresive.

Maybe we should all hold off a little until we see them on the street or at the dealership.

My first take on the car is that it looks great.

I too had hoped the final car would look more like the concept, but I agree we need to see it in person. I really like my '05 coupe but keep having problems with the interior (vents rattle even after replacing them and seat belt feels like it will cut my head off).

Considering the 2008 coupe has a much improved interior hopefully my problems will be resolved. Combine that with a fresher looking exterior, bi-xenon headlights, improved performance, and smoother clutch I am very excited to test drive the new coupe.

It is not quite as radical a change as I had hoped but so far it looks like a solid improvement. If they were the same price I would prefer a 335i coupe but the G37 seems like it will be a great value and the BMW is not worth $15,000 more.

Man..what a let down..after looking at these pics over and over..they should have just kept the original looking bumper with the two side grill. ...But i guess the aftermarket can take care of that

The aftermarket is splooging all over the new G. They're going to sell lots of wheels and body kits just so the new G looks better.

Nice Photochop!

i think it depends on the angle you're looking at it. at a certain view, the muscular catamaran style blends w/ the bulging hood so it looks like one whole bulge, therefore, its like the altima. but from edmunds and the glorified autoblog's pics, it reallys shows the 'dip' between the hood and the fenders therefore showing its muscular effect.
