My impressions on the G37!

Ok, I was able to get out of work a bit earlier, and just took a ride straight down to the show. I boght a ticket and went straight to Infiniti, I didnt even bother looking anywhere else since I had no time, but I couldnt take it anymore. Will b going back monday.
My Impressions:

The car definitely looks better in person. Although it is still a bit high, its not as much as it looks. The lines of the car definitely look better in person. What really amazes me is how the car can look so good from one angle and not soo good from a different angle, its crazy. Interior is wasome, I loved everything about it. Now i can truly say that what kills the front look is the bumper. I know everyone already agreed on this, but I kinda liked the front bumper, but after seeing it in person, nope, not at all. Its too big for the front, which gives it a very squared look as oppesed to nice and curvy. The big lumps it looks like it has in the pics by the fenders are actually not bad in person. The rear, well the rear really needs a spoiler, and then I can make up my mins about that. The lights are Ok, but seemed to be growing on me. The brakes and wheels are great, although in my case, wheels wouldnt rally last long and brakes would be powdercoated. The front lights are veri nice and the overall shape of the car is 90% similar to the current G, which is a good thing. But what I stress the most is the fact that, you will have different feelings on this car from every angle, crazy to explain, you just really have to witness it in person. I will post some pics of these different angles in a bit. Overall, I think it is a car that I can purchase, because although it needs some work, if the right things are done to it, it can be a stunner. But it really does look much better in person, and every minute I stayed there, it seemed to be growing on me. But the funniest thing, I was ablout to leave, and what was right there to the left of me was a laser red G35 coupe. My God, even though I have the car now, I was like this car is beautiful, and for a minute I forgot that i had it in the lot right outside, then I came back to my senses, lol, but the new G just doesnt have that same affect on me, and probably never will, but I would still buy it. Pics will follow soon.

I agree with how it looks 'different' at various angles. It doesn't flow as well as previous models.

People who didn't like the front bumper will likely not find the front bumper any more appealing in real-life. If Infiniti changed the front bumper, I think it would resolve a lot of complaints.

I agree. The G35 is the prettier older sister.

But, here is where I am confused, it seems the only part of the G37 coupe the G35 coupe drivers will be able to see will be the tail. And, I don't hear any complaints about the back end.

I'm reading a lot of them. Some don't like the lights and that transitional area from rear to side.

I also went on Friday and made a B line to the G37 display, and you are completely right, as I stood there, more things started to grow on me. The front 3/4 angle had to be the most nice in my opinion, but would be made 3 times better by having a 03-05 rear wing on the back, shadowing the upper rear-most section of the 1/4 panel by the taillights. The lady (Infiniti spokeswoman) who was there actually said "The front of this car is so aggressive", I looked at her in confusion and said "Compared to that" as I pointed at the Laser Red 07 Coupe, and she said, you've got a point.

dmkozak....the main selling point of the g35 has always been the styling of the car...so at stock yea the g37 will just blow by the g35..but dont be surprised when a modded G35 just blows by you...and you see the g35 from behind and say dangit that beautiful rear flows perfectly into the side of the car ..whereas your g37 looks abnormal from that view

+4 on the rear end. Let me just abuse my photoshop and spam it everywhere since I spent 15 minutes making it.
