Yeah, I'm not really a fan of this either. I like the look straight on from the back though. Very wide, squat and muscular looking. Once you start moving to the side there is something wrong about the size of the tailight and the sharper outside edge of it. It doesn't look fluid.

I agree that the interior is a HUGE improvement and that at certain angles the car looks great but then again it can look horrible. but for some reason the uglier angles kept on popping up when i was lookin at it...

I personally like it in person. It appears longer in person especially the front end.I like the overall stance stock but new springs would be a must! The overall car looks very luxurious. The rear trunk/tailight combo will take a little getting used to but its not a dealbreaker.

For only the fraction of the cost of a new G, a proper FI setup will really smoke you future 37 owners so beware out there; I as well as many others will keep our 35's and the mods will be so sweet as we smoke you guys in our cars all paid for... LOL, I could go on, it's too enticing for me. This new G is just a big let down, no matter how good it performs, it looks like my Mom should be cruising in it. I am happy they changed it, now the 1st gen will be coveted like they should be and the roads will not be flooded with em'.

Let's get real with the FI stuff. Who cares? If someone wants to go FI they can do it with the new G37 as well. It's pretty certain the new G will be faster than the G35 but this isn't a war of which car is faster. People buying the new car are doing so because of improved NVH, more power, more refined, better handling, better brakes, improved interior to name a few. If you don't like the new model that's fine. I'm not sold on it yet myself. I don't have any illusions that it will be coveted and the roads less flooded with them.

I agree....
I also suspect rear quarter view may look better in real life.

I went to see the car yesterday, and was really disappointed by the front and rear end of the car, as others said.

The rear looks like its just been cut off and missing something, the rear lights dont fit the car and have more of the Altima rear look. Front for some reason does not look as aggressive in comparison to the G35. I loved the concept design and feel like they shortchanged the production. Maybe it will grow on me, but so far these are first impressions.

I never liked the sedan, but now I think the new one looks alot better than the new coupe.

I ll tell you what i did enjoy, is the fact that people were gathering around the red G35 that was near the G37 and getting inside it to take pictures. i found that pretty funny, given the car has been out for 4 years already and still gets attention.

You say "If someone wants to go FI they can do it with the new G37 as well", That is not going to be easy with the VVEL, trust me on this; I'm not saying it will not be done, but look to pay much more for FI on these engines plus the gains will be much less without internal mods due to the very high compression ratio. As far as all the rest of your reply; I strongly disagree... The 1st. gen will be coveted by modders for years to come just like the Supra's and a few others are now. Oh yeah, one more thing; the 35 is still much sexier, no matter what you say. Go buy a 37 so I can laugh when I see it.

That sounds like something a 5 year old kid would say!

Very true, but that is the way some are, so you have to learn to ignore certain peoples' comments.

You had a little bit of credibilty until you got into the part where "you strongly disagree".

1. Any comparison to being coveted by modders like the Supra is/was is a joke
2. I made no indication whatsoever that the G37 might be "sexier" than the G35. In fact I said I wasn't really sold on it.
3. Anyone that would laugh at a previous G owner purchasing an updated model that has all of the improvements I listed in my first post isn't a person I would give any credence to. So believe me I'm not about to "trust you".
4. Your response ignores the other important points I made about why someone would buy the G37

Grow up.

Damn this car is frigging sick! I LOVE IT!

Oh wait, wrong picture.

I'll pay $50 to have someone erase the memory of the G Coupe Concept from my brain. Maybe then I will like the G37 more.

That "mechanic's creeper" view of the 08 Coupe is not it's best angle...and I stopped looking at that one a long time ago.

Yup. That concept is sick. Too bad I guess. But you guys can fight over the G35 and 37 all day. In the end it comes down to personal opinion. But I think the majority would say the 35 is a much sexier car. As much as I would not want to say this, since I was one of those guys that wanted the new coupe real bad, its the truth. The 37 just does NOT flow as well as the 35.
