You're buying a $40,000 car. Should you really be paying extra for leather at this point? It's standard in Infiniti, but BMW sticks you with leatherette unless you fork over a little extra.
Didnt kno that, so how does that factor into the cost of the 335i in the test? was it additional to that price?

Ultimately, the 335i is not as comfortable in fast transitions as the G37.
Can they explain this a bit further? why?

This comparison test is really confusing. If you look at Edmund's 335i full road test review of the brakes for example... the 335i stops in 114 feet, but in the comparison test they get 109 feet with +1 or -1. If you look at their G37 full road test review, it stops in 113 feet with NO fade, but if you look at the comparison test... it takes longer to brake and it ALSO fades. I'm confused...

LOL THEY MUST BE RETARDED
Performance 25.0% 97.0% 86.9%
infiniti got the lower of course
wat kind of objective testing uses different temp and track conditions that ultimately leads to an 11 PERCENT difference and the BMW wins by 2.3 point....
R these ppl serious???

They seem to hate the G37? Or at least thats the feeling I am getting when I read the article.

Feels like a BMW? hell, how is that bad? G37 feels like a European car, DAMN! that is pretty good news in my book! Most people buy BMW just cause it feels like a BMW!

"The control layout is ergonomically superb. The seat is a tad squishy, but it envelops your body and even offers a seat-bottom cushion that you can extend to support your legs — you know, like in a BMW."

they make it sound like its a bad thing...heh

Anyways, not surprised that that G37 didn't win the comparo. The 335i is just so DAMN FAST!

The lesser performer was awarded points based on how close it came to the top car's score.
Id rather them use an objective line card and compare both cars against wat they had on that card, not make one 100% and say how the other deviates against that...

the least expensive one received a score of 100, with the remaining car receiving a lesser score based on how much each one costs
Dont these "testers" think to compare a "conventional" g37 against the "conventional" 335i they used therefore leading to probably a 8g difference and altering that score card yet some more?

Unless god was judging these cars, in an objective test the following should not be factors at all
Personal Rating (2.5%): Purely subjective. After the test, each participating editor was asked to rank the cars in order of preference based on which he or she would buy if money were no object.

Recommended Rating (2.5%): After the test, each participating editor was asked to rank the two coupes in order of preference based on which he or she thought would be best for the average consumer shopping in this segment.
Both cars should be scored against a baseline plain and simple....

I agree with you! It is not even because the G37 lost, in fact I am not planning to get it, but this comparo is DEFINITELY biased towards BMW.
