For Those That Have Driven The G37

For those who drive the 2008 G37S coupe, i have a question. I came across a piece that has done 45k miles. I drove it and it rode quite nice. I noticed that at 70mph, the rpm is 2900. is it normal? My 05 G has 2700 rpm at 70mph. Won't this affect the fuel efficiency in long run?
I need to know if this is normal or that particular piece has a problem.
thanks

In 2014, I drove a Q50 after it was released and it was not the same type of driver experience, it more like the whole car seemed based on touch-pads and distracting electronics. So I bought a 2013 G37 Sedan. but I'm a little late to post the review! It's still an awesome car to drive, power-train and all that G looks. This car rules!
The Infiniti best-seller sports sedan might be called the “old” model by some, since it first arrived on the scene in the 2007 as the V36, then known as the model G35. I thought my 2008 G35 was nice. But the G37 has matured gracefully during transition from 2007 G35 to 2010 G37. The G37 Sedan has undergone two big changes that really attracted me. First, it offered more standard features and added more than 20 Horse-power to the drive-train while improving fuel economy by 3-4 MPG. Second, less obvious but equally important are incremental improvements to each of the packages while watching the price get reduced.

I drove a Q60 this past weekend and it was nothing compared to my G37. Granted, I have a 6MT that has 30 extra horses, but the new turbocharged engine doesn't do it for me. At $48k+, Infiniti is stealing people's money. I hope the Q60 Red Sport has something more to offer than more power and electronic exhaust noises.

Just got a 2008 base coupe and I have to say, this thing is nothing short of amazing. 70 feels like 20. Extremely responsive and very smooth. And surprisingly quiet in the cabin. My old G35 coupe feels much more visceral than the G37. The G37 has definitely been much more refined and worth the upgrade.
