60k Service. What to service. What fluids to use.

there are few threads on this subject but none contain all of the information.

I went through several of them, found some info but some I did not.

So those of you that did 60k service or know anything about it share your info.

So for 60k service I'm mainly looking to replace fluids

Engine oil (I just changed two days ago)
Engine Coolant
Differential Oil
Brake Fluid

Do I need to replace
Power steering fluid
AT transmission fluid and filter

And what fluids I should use (brand and type)

Feel free to add stuff to the list or remove

Have you looked in the Factory Service Manual (Section MA?) It's the general maintenance section that tells you all the regularly scheduled maintenance through 60k miles. . .

Personally, I follow kinda follow my own schedule:
Oil: replace ~4000 miles or so.

Every 15k:
Inspect brake system (rotor thickness, pad wear), replace if necessary

Every 30k:
Replace ATF (at a dealer, cuz I don't like to deal with the mess, although I'll do the next one in my garage now that I've seen that they typically don't do a complete flush and fill.) There is no ATF filter maintenance listed in the FSM.
Replace diff oil (Redline 75w-90 gear oil)
Inspect belts for wear, replace if necessary.
Inspect exhaust system for leaks. . .(never is any)
Inspect pop charger, clean/oil if necessary
Inspect suspension components (for tightness, grease fittings, bushings as necessary)
Flush Coolant

Every 60k:
Inspect/Replace spark plugs (the manual says at 105k miles, but. . .)
run injector cleaner in a tank of gas

I haven't replaced my power steering fluid yet, and I have ~115k miles. I did buy some and will probably purge the system at 120k.

I cleaned my MAF and TB at 110k, (after a stalling at start issue) and haven't had a problem since.

Help at all?

I'd do all the things suggested by Drewer and then a couple easy things also. My preferences for brands of fluid and equipment are below:

Oil (5 Quarts): I use German Castrol 0W30 right now, but any decent brand 5W30 will do, I don't need to beat to death what oil is best
Oil Filter: Purolator PureOne PL14610
Brake Fluid (1 Liter for full bleed/refill): ATE SL.6 DOT4

ATF (12 quarts for full flush, not sure on simple drain and refill): Nissan Matic J only (rumors are that Matic S replaces J, I haven't confirmed this yet)

Rear Differential Oil (~1.5 quarts): Redline 75W90
Front Differential Oil (~1 quart AWD X only): Redline 75W90
Transfer Case (~1.5 quarts AWD X only): Redline D4 or Redline D6

Belts: OEM

Air Filter: Purolator PureOne (I don't like reusable filters)
Clean MAF (simple!): CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner

Coolant (~10-12 quarts, 2.5-3 gallons for full flush): Nissan OEM (any low silicate will do, considering Evans NPG+, but haven't researched it enough)

Spark Plugs: NGK or Denso Iridiums

Injector Cleaner (1 bottle): Redline SI-1 or Gumout Regane 1 tank before an oil change

Power Steering Fluid (~1.25 quarts): Redline PSF (Every 30k for me)

so what about AT transmission.

Some ppl say they change it and some say it never needs to be changed

In Manual is says that at 60k it is optional.

I do an ATF flush (along with coolant flush) every 30k, I'd do it at least every 60k.

In Manual is says that at 60k it is optional.
In the maintenance section, it lists a procedure for determining the particulate size suspended in the ATF (using a coffee filter) and then changing based on the size (if any.) I've heard some people say that if you haven't changed the fluid, then you should never do it (I'm not sure the reasoning) and some say to do it every 30-60k. I guess what it boils down to is that ATF is wrecked by heat, so if you drive all crazy like and torque brake at every opportunity, it'll probably be wise to change the fluid sooner. . .

Does your fluid look red at all? Or is it brown? (Brown is baked and should be replaced.)

I have not checked

I'm just getting ready to do the service so I'm gathering the info and purchasing the supplies.

What kind of update are you looking for?

The thread is barely 10 days old

this pretty much answered all my questions about doing my 30k. my last question would be generally how much fluid would i need. i assume 4qts for the ATF but i normally grab 6 qts when i do drain and flushes. i just never did a rear diff or transfer case so i dont know how much is normally needed
