Hi guys,

I'm having some interesting problem.
1) Windshield Fluid Pump - Works fine (i listened and it works fine with the hood up). But then... I close the hood... and boom... the left one does not work!! How weird? So the hood is putting pressure on the line I'm guessing? How do I proceed?

2) Weird high pitched noise coming from engine bay I think when I start the car sometimes for a few seconds (usually 4-5 seconds). Seems only when my AC turns on right when I start the car... like a loud screeching noise... weird....

Thanks! THe problem with the line is that it only doesnt work when the hood is down... and it's hard for me to follow the line when the hood is down! haha

 

You will have to take the cowl screen out to trace the line. its not under the hood like most cars.

 

There are two in-line check valves in the washer system, the one marked "B" might be stuck closed...? Hard to see the exact location from the picture but you should be able to find it if you trace the hose.

 

That check valve is under the cowel screen. Check valve a is right near the hood hinge.

 

Maybe the line is blocked?

 

As for the windshield washer sprayer...I'm thinking one of the rubber hoses is kinked or being pinched somewhere when you close the hood. When you open your hood back open, it become un-kinked...sort of like a drinking straw when you bend it. You'll have to search for that spot.


For the screech noise with the A/C...it's the belt. The tension is the hardest thing to dial in correctly with this car. Many people here get that screech including myself. It's either too tight or too loose. From this day, I still get some random screech noise once in awhile. It's so hard to pinpoint the right tension since it doesn't happen all the time. I practically gave up on it.
