Window Motor

I am fully ready to replace the motor for the 3rd time in my drivers side. Passenger side works fine. Now, the motor isn't completely done. It works sometimes and not others. What could be the cause of this? I mean other than the obvious loose connection. Also, it tends to start working after slamming the door or giving the door panel a good hit. The switch still clicks consistently. The motor however makes no sort of noise at all when it isn't working.

My G has had the same problem for the last month..normally I come home with the windows down and park it in my garage..try and bring the driver's side window back up. If it rolls up, good or else I come back and try again like 30 minutes later. All I can tell you is that if you have the extended warrenty (which you should since G's are superr lovable cars ) tell your dealership you purchased it from the order another motor and swap it out. lol

Buy a new unit from Nissan. The aftermarket units won't last long. Nissan has since changed the design of the limit switch which causes the problem.

This is what I was told by our Nissan parts rep. He is even giving a warranty on the part that we extend to our customers.
BTW, we have yet to replace a unit we have installed in the last five years.

I am one of the owners of CIN Motorsports in Charlotte, NC. Our Nissan parts supplier gives us a year warranty on window motors if installed at our facility. I'm sure it would be the same for any Nissan repair shop in your area.

the problem i experience is not that any of these motors go bad... it's because theres TOO MUCH GREASE inside the motor. it blocks the conductors. requires disasssembly and cleaning it thoroughly.
