Hi everyone.

I just bought a 2005 G35 and loving it so far.

I did complete break job frint and back took me almost 12 hours though, the bolts were a pain.

I went and changed my air filter to K&N and noticed that the accordian looking hose that goes from the filter enclosure to the engine has a slit in it.

I want to replace it but I can't seem to find the hose alone. It seems like it come with the duct assembly for $$.

Not looking to spend so much doesn anyone have any suggestions.

go get yourself a ztube. its much better flow

i think you are talking about the coupler (accoridan looking rubber piece with two clamps on the end. )

They dont always come with the Z tube so you may want to specify you need that as well when you look for it.

 

Anyone know how I can go about buying a coupler? It seems like it comes with the air intake and I don't want to buy the whole assembly just the coupler (rubber accordian boot)

check the classifieds on my350z.com you have to create and account but that's where I got my ztube and air filter....they're usually cheaper over there too! or even the classifieds on this site some people are willing to sell things piece by piece...

Simon, congratulations on doing your own brake job! Doesn't if feel good to complete a job, kinda like patting yourself on the back. Looks like you found the answer to your intake hose. Enjoy!
