HORRIBLE gas consumption

I own a 2005 G35 coupe manual 6 speed, 107k miles. No lights on other than tire light. I am averaging a solid 10-13 mpg. I shift around 4-5k normally. No highway, all city driving. Premium fuel. I can't figure out why my mpg are so poor, please help. I'm about to do my plugs and an ecu reset, anything else I should try?

You could shift a little lower in the rpm range. Try pulling Off the battery negative side and turning the lights on to kill the battery charge built up.

From here it resets the fuel settings through a dying battery.

Plug it back up and drive like granny for new learning of fuel settings...

Or this might be for auto only.

These cars are much more fun to drive and sound nice in that rpm range, but you can't expect good fuel economy when you are constantly pushing it like that.

Don't mess with plugs or ecu reset yet, shift at 2.5k for a tank and check your mpg. You should get closer to 17-18 easily. If no change in mpg, then go for plugs/reset.

Again with another gas milage thread. It will never end. I know its a hard task, but searching will give you vast answers quickly. Also shifting at 5k is just crazy.

I did search, and I hadn't seen in ANY of those threads 10 mpg. That is why I posted, I figured something serious was happening. And I actually enjoy driving my car lol, is that a bad thing? You guys telling me I'm a "douchebag" should try it sometime... I enjoy the cars sound with my exhaust much more right above 4k. But I'm sure that is the problem so thank you guys. I always try to search btw, but I figured this was different than those threads. My bad.
