Finding an open circuit? (Cig Lighter & Yaw Sensor)

Long story short my switch I was installing to completely disable traction control was faulty and fried the 12v wire (orange) to the yaw sensor and the fuse(s) is/are fine. i then wired the switch to the red wire of the console cig lighter. Also fried the wire making me realize its the switch. output is between 0 and .02 V on both wires.

How do i locate where the open part of the circuit is or what is a good wire to splice and connect these both to to fix them? I need something simple that turns on whenever the car is on so seat heater or hazard lights are a bad idea i assume. any ideas? the simpler the better

additionally, I'm positive it was a bad switch w/ gnd, not a faulty wiring job by me. I have the service manual as well. thanks!

If you need 12v switched for a different project, use one of these.

Hey sorry if i wasn't clear. that's what i was doing but that 12v wire no longer works (short circuit ruined it?) thus traction control is always off. i'm just trying to fix that and install a switch to manually control it. Thanks!

Just wondering did u ever find a solution or the fuse that blew the wire? I've tried getting power back to the orange one but no fuse I look at seems fried and I dont wanna splice into another wire for power to traction
