VDC off and Slip light on
VDC off and Slip light on
Hi, I had a "SES" light com on for a camshaft position sensor bank 2 for the driver side on a 2004 infiniti g35 automatic transmission. I have then replaced the sensor and plugged the battery back on and the "SES" light went away but the "VDC off" and "Slip" light are still on. All three lights appeared after I got the SES light for the sensor. any help what could be wrong still?
Are you sure you got the correct sensor? The driver/passenger side are different sensors.
EDIT: Did you get an OEM sensor or some random aftermarket one? Aftermarket sensors are NOTORIOUS for not working properly or failing quickly.

Ok, thanks. that relives some worries I had. will check pads after work tomorrow because I just topped off all the fluids but will re-check the break fluid levels again.

VDC off and Slip light on would have to be something with the sensors that connect to the rear differential or the bosche traction control unit under your center console are my thoughts. I would start at the back of the car and take a look at the two sensors that connect to the rear diff and plug harness. Chase it back and look for any damage to the wiring harness. Also check fuses. This could be related to brakes too so best of luck.
Just out of curiosity are you able to drift/slide the car without the brakes auto engaging? I found on my 06 that even with VDC off I still get the annoying safety features engaging when trying to get shwifty or slide the car. If I slip the car enough and I get those lights to stay on its no longer a problem. Turning the car off and back on makes them go away. There is a video out there of a guy connecting a switch to the wiring harness of bosche unit under center console to get a true traction control shutoff switch in place.
