I have a 2005 Infiniti g35 coupe (MT & RevUp)

My car wont crank and was told that I need a new/used BCM.

According to my VIN# JNKCV54E85M415051

They say I need these BCM #s
284B1-AC700 or 284B1-AC764

But my current installed (BAD) BCM part # 284B1 AC361

According to the forum searches it says to use the same part # as what is installed. But everyone who looks up the VIN said I need the AC700 or AC764 part.

Can anyone help which route I should go? I only found one AC361 on ebay and the seller said it wont fit according to his VIN check.

Update

I called Infiniti and they said the BCM is based on the part# associated with my VIN.

And according to my VIN# JNKCV54E85M415051 Infiniti says I need BCM 284B1-AC700

They also confirmed that a vehicle locksmith "should be able to program the new BCM". Used part coming by EOW, so fingers crossed I can get G35 driveable again.

The AC700 is probably just a newer revision of that part, if Infiniti told you to use that one based on their VIN search then I would trust them.

EDIT: After a little more research it appears this BCM is indeed an updated revision designed to fit all 2004.5-2006 G35 models (coupe and sedan) equipped with an automatic transmission. Not sure if it interchanges with the 6MT or not.
