Ac stuck on 75f.

So long story short, changed my ac controller for a jdm one. Every button works except the **** to turn the temp up or down. Any help world be appreciated. I did search but all I find is when the whole controller don’t work or the radio is the culprit.

Open it up and check the solder joints and the guts inside. See if u can find anything obviously wrong.

If not, then I would just assume its defective.

With the system on and the car running, unplug the temp sensor behind the front grille and then plug it back it. No idea why but it seems to force some kind of reset when you do that.

It's a lot easier with the grille removed.

Is that a proven method to fix this issue? I'd like to know in case I ever come across the same thing.

I have no idea, there's nothing in the FSM about doing this but when I replaced my AC head unit last summer I wasn't able to change the temp from 90 degrees so I just started unplugging things while hot and when I did the front ambient sensor it started working. Worked perfectly ever since.

Well actually, how it went was I unplugged the front ambient sensor, then it said the outside temperature was like 127 degrees and over the course of about 30 minutes it slowly went back to what the temp ACTUALLY was but I could immediately set my temperature on the inside properly and it wasn't locked on 90 degrees anymore.

I put the old radio back to be able to control the temperature and it will change the temperature. I think my problem now is that I bought 05-07 ac controller.

Were you able to get the 05-07 controller to work in your car?
When I ordered my controller and bezel I input my vin thinking only parts that fit my car would show up but instead I got this one all of the features work except the temp ****

G35x 2008 same issue

I have this same issue, where the AC diagnostics look fine and no lights. However, when I try to change the A/C temp, driver side only lets me choose 75, 76 degrees. Passenger side works as we’d expect with full temp control. Any ideas? I’m stumped

Probably a failing AC auto amp.

If you have both sides locked together does it work normally?
