Unhappy Cluster issue

Hey hope to find everyone doing well, I’m having an issue with my 08 g35 sedan where none of the gauges work car runs and drives good ac doesn’t work neither does manual mode no sunroof I’ve done everything I could think of checked wires and everything checks out to be good but I’m getting a u1000 code and the odo not working I asked the previous owner if he had this issue he said yes that he replaced the old cluster for this one bc the leds on the old one were blown so he put this one in and since than the car has had these problems when I try to turn it off I need to hold the button down for 5 seconds which is weird I need help please. Goodness that's a lot. Almost easier to tell us what is working. You say "wires and everything" check out but you do need to be sure all fuses are good. There are many involved in the problems you've described. Both in the fusebox near the driver's left leg and in the IPDM - inconveniently located in the engine compartment behind the battery.

And of course, check for water intrusion in the passenger footwell (below the BCM) and around the IPDM. None of our black boxes like getting wet.

I think the 5-second button press to shut down is meant for emergencies so I don't know what's up with that.

Start with fuses and maybe a meter to be sure...

hey thanks a lot for the reply went over fuses already found some blown in the box you told me I did the good ol wire to both ends to see if that would make any difference and nothing I kinda got overwhelmed and called a programmer, I’ve taken this whole car interior apart already I’ve taken out the bcm ecm and I noticed some corrosion on the bcm connectors same for the ground that’s under it I cleaned both up no difference, so I contacted the programmer guy he said the issue was a module I asked which one he said either the bcm or the cluster is toasted I can find a bcm tomorrow but don’t I have to re program it? Thanks have a good night
