The ride is much firmer on the Sport then the regular model. It's firm but solid, I like it, I don't like soft floaty rides. The ride is pretty solid, going over our crappy pathched up roads it tracks straight and doesn't jiggle around too much. I just had a G37 base sedan as a loaner for a day and the ride is much quieter and relaxing then it. The only thing I don't like is that you can hear the tires above 50-60 mph. Comared to my old 2004 G35 coupe it is so much better in ride and comfort. The G35 had so much road noise it was rediculous, I had to really crank up the stereo to overide the noise but in the M I can leave the volume down and still hear the radio. Infiniti has come a long was since 2004, the build quality is much better now.
It's a more mature ride in that it's more compliant then the G, but then it won't handle as well either. It's a god damn BIG car, I didn't realize how much larger it was till I brought it home and tried to park it in the garage...lol anyways the G is much more of a drivers car in a sense that you can drive it hard and toss it around. Where as this is more of a cruzer, my car has 4 wheel active steering so the response is pretty quick but I had more fun in the G. I'm just old now and need a bit more comfort. The road noise in the G was driving me nuts.
