Aloha!

I am a long time reader first time poster. Just got my 05 graphite/graphite 6spd coupe last week. Wanted to say hi and also thanks to the forum for all the information that helped me in the decision and purchase. I went to RC at Infin of Honolulu and got a great price and incredible service. He is also probably one of the nicest guys I've ever met. I would recommend him to anyone interested in an Infiniti.

It's been almost a week, and I am really enjoying the car. So far only 2 minor things are bothering me. Gonna get em checked at 1st oil change.

I have an annoying dash rattle/buzz that seems to be coming from the far left rotating a/C vent. Only seems to occur when I drive on really rough roads which is way too often in town.

And my clutch makes this weird high pitched humming occasionally. I can't describe it too well, except that it makes the sound sometimes when engaging the clutch. There's no gear grindage or clunking though so I hope it goes away after the car loosens up.

Other than these 2 things, the car is great. Some things I really love:

Stock stereo sounds great and plays MP3's.

Exhaust note is intoxicating.

Handles like its on rails. Lots of grip and very little roll.

The driver seat is very comfortable. I read somewhere that it's not comfortable for taller drivers. I'm 6'2" and it's very comfortable for me.

The interior has a lot of storage pockets and nooks. I have way too much crap in my car already.

I haven't gone past 4k rpms yet, but the power seems to be abundant. After break-in I'll have to compare against my other car-05 TL.

Well, that's it for now. See ya guys/gals on the road. All this talk about my car makes me want to go drive. Aloha!

My gf wants a TL or MDX. Told her to get another job if she wants live with such luxuries. I was leaning more towards a Chevy SUV for her. TL's are nice tho, but I think the new M's are bad ****!!

Yeah those new M's are incredible. If I had known about them, I might have waited on the TL, but I think price is gonna be high than the TL.

If you change your mind and decide on a Acura, I have a friend there that can get you a good price without hassles. If you need the info, let me know.

Thanks for the info Frostya. I was somewhat worried that it was just mines. Unfortunately I am 1000 miles til break in is done. I can't wait. I better go drive right now. Laters.

Hello from another new G'er!

I used to have a (heavily) modified 30ZX twin turbo. My G is not as fast as it (though close), but handles quite a bit better than my Z ever did. I love the complete lack of body roll around the corners!

I too am happily suprised with the Bose system. I thought it would be poor, but it is much better than I was expecting. I still plan on eventually upgrading it, but I might come up with a solution that involves leaving the head unit stock.

About the only complaint is the seat. Being tall is not a problem, but I am of a 'stocky' build (too much gym time) (also, too many plate lunches) and the seat is just slightly too narrow for me. Other than that, I love the car.

LOL!! Too much gym time but too many plate lunches...Youre going to the gym for nothing bro. I know how it is to resist the temptation of those plate lunches....discipline!!

NP... Hopefully they'll have a TSB for the whine... Or maybe they'll just give me some cheese for my whine and boot me out the door. =P

Hey, I use plate lunches as part of my bulking stage. The only problem is I never got off this stage.
My theory: The more you eat the stronger you get......
