I got the Tanabe system in the mail today, as well as the extension piece to fit the ultra medallion. I took pics but my usb wire is at work. I'll post up pictures tomorrow morning. The ****ty thing about the exhaust system is that the y-pipe is polished and the ultra medallion b-pipe is unfinished stainless steel. looks like I'll have to get some fine steel wool and a bottle of Wicked metal polish to luster up the pipe. I bought them from Intense Motorsports...there were some disputes with comminication. I had to call them to find out when the package will be shipped. They didnt have the items in stock and had to wait for Tanabe USA to deliver them to their warehouse. I called them on Friday to find out when they shipped it out, they shipped it out that day and they told me that they'll email me the confirmation number. It's Monday and no email confirmation, I had to call them again and I was directed over to their sales office and they told me the tracking number the phone. It was kind a humbug to get info from them after saying that they'll get back to me on something...but if you want to get it, you just have to get it yourself. So if you guys order from Intense, make sure you call their rep and make confirmations.

Hopefully by friday I'll get the exhaust in...I'm still waiting on my UTR test pipes. I need them so I can test fit the non-fouling adapters to buffer the secondary O2 pickup. They were shipped out today USPS, so I'm guessing they'll get here by Friday, Saterday at the latest.

haha
I don't know what I'm going to do with that extra openning. I'd have to take it to a bodyshop to patch it up, I could do it...but i'm too lazy and dont want to make the time or effort. One of these day's i'll get he veilside ti pipes that I'll be glad i didnt close that openning up

Driving impressions, it's LOUD inside, and LOUD outside. To the point where my ears were hurting a little from the sound resonating on my ear drums. I could only imagine how much louder it's going to get with the test pipes. The does definetly feel lighter, probably shaved 10-15lbs. I didnt really get to open her up on the road. The car's sweet spot is between 3500-4000rpm, and it's pretty audible then and she pulls nicely. I'm not going WOT yet and it pulls...I've been finding myself back pedalling off the throttle. I'll probably install the silencer tonight and see how that sounds. Might sound buzzy though - On my brother's GSR, he had the Tanabe exhaust and installed the silencer, it buzzed through the tiny opennings. Jensen knows his old car...I wish he kept it, he still regrets it.

anyways..heres some some pics, I couldnt upload the video because I dont have anymore webspace...but I'll find a way to upload it..I'm open to anyone who wants to host it for me.

... Let me know how those non-fouling adapters work... because I'm using some type of adapters on my O2 but the light is still on.... supposedly they are the non-fouler adapters... maybe if yours works... if you dont mind helping me do what you did... because the light does get irritating sometimes...

I dont mind at all, I'll let you know if I successfully bypass the CEL. I was woried about the CEL coming on with the catback, thankfully it didnt. Jason Tokunaga was telling about somone having a y-pipe and test pipes on their car and getting the CEL. I think they did some other kind of reset other than the pedal method and bake method, probably through their data logger. I'd think the only other way if that doesnt work is to get a reflash, which I'll ultimately do.
