Your gonna spend $35K (or more) on a car and buy a $30 intake? Dude that thing could be made by Crayola for all u know and melt in ur engine. And u did it for "sound"?? 4 words -- All Show, No Go

buahahah, you're funny, see sig. It's all about spending smart not spending stupid. All you paid is for the name brand. That's it.

OP - I have no objection on the intake since a pipe is just a pipe. If you get a right sized intake & good bent, you're good to go. However, Muffers have more factors in them that I won't be trusting those HKS-Style types. The baffles aren't good quality and in couple months or after a year, it'll sound like craps and smell too. I know couple people who had that. You'd better off with a good one

Hmmm... Like I said, just for sound. My own benefit. BTW, I got my G for only 22k. If it was 35k I would have never got it. I went from an 92 NSX that I spent a grip of crazy money for nothing. I sold the car for less than what I spent on it.

I didnt buy a replica, I got 2 HKS Hi-Power mufflers. They're still cheaper than a full exhaust system, but alot more than the fake "style" ones. I got em from Ebay at 230 for each. I did not want to compromise on that too much. and the place im getting the midpipe made and installed are doing mandrel bending with good material. I'll post pics.

The intake was installed and it fits perfectly. It sounds good, whistles nice at about 4.5 rpms and has a pretty deep and throaty sound. I'll dyno it once I get the exhaust. I don't wanna waste too much money on checking for gains. I'm cheap like that.
